This is one of the places where you can use the gems you get rewarded after completing a quest. You can upgrade or buy new weapons and armour, as well as buy new accessories for your character to improve their performance in roleplay.

Armor
Upgrading your armour, weapons, or tools automatically fixes any damages on them, as well as increases their durability and gives them better stats.

Brigade Armour
Description: Lionfish armour that fits on the back.
Upgrade Cost: 300 Gems per tier
Tier 1 (Base Level) - Increases defence in roleplay, can block attacks on the back
Tier 2 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 3 -  Lower chance of breaking
Tier 4 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 5 - Impossible to break

Royal Shield
Description: A shield with the Royal Jamaasian Navy & Military Strikeforce logo on it.
Cost: 500 Gems
Upgrade Cost: 400 Gems per tier
Tier 1 (Base Level) - Allows you to block attacks in roleplay
Tier 2 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 3 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 4 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 5 - Impossible to break

Weapons

Description: A three-speared trident made of stone.

Cheap Cutlass
Description: A long and rugged blade with a little bit of rust on the end and a junky looking handle which looks like it'll snap off at any moment.

Tier 1 (Base Level) - Allows you to do melee attacks in roleplay
Tier 2 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 3 - Lower chance of breaking
Tier 4 - Lower chance of breaking

Royal Epee
Description: A long and fine sabre with a jewelled handle and a spotless blade.
Cost: 700 Gems

Harpoon
Description: A carefully crafted launcher with a sharp, hooked stick attached.
Cost: 800 Gems

Tier 3 - Lower chance of breaking

Tools
Upgrading your tools automatically fixes any damages on them.

Satchel
Description: A simple handbag that is used to store the items you collect on your journey.
Upgrade Cost: 400 Gems per tier
Tier 1 - Increases inventory capacity to 45 Standard/15Armory
Tier 2 - Increases inventory capacity to 55 Standard/20Armory
Tier 3 - Increases inventory capacity to 65 Standard/25Armory
Tier 4 - Increases inventory capacity to 75 Standard/30 Armory

Spellbook
Description: A glowing book filled with magical spells and tricks.
Cost: 500 Gems
Upgrade Cost: 300 Gems per tier
Tier 1 -  Allows you to cast spells with your wand, 4 custom spell slots
Tier 2 - Increases the number of slots in spellbook to 6, increases spell effectiveness
Tier 3 - Increases the number of slots in spellbook to 8, increases spell effectiveness

Tail Sock
Description: A casing that fits around the tail that allows the wearer to swim faster and make sharp turns with ease.
Cost: 500 Gems
Upgrade Cost: 300 Gems per tier
Tier 1 - Increases movement speed and agility
Tier 2 - Increases movement speed and agility, lower chance of breaking
Tier 3 - Increases movement speed and agility, lower chance of breaking
Tier 4 - Increases movement speed and agility, lower chance of breaking
Tier 5 - Increases movement speed and agility, impossible to break

Antidote
Description: A small flask containing a medicinal liquid that can be used to cure poisons when consumed, or cure bleeds and infections when used on a wound. One time use.
Cost: 175 Gems
This item cannot be upgraded.

Bandage
Description: A small dressing that can be placed on a wound to stop it from bleeding temporarily. However, it is not as effective as an antidote, as it falls off after 6 turns. One time use.
Cost: 75 Gems
This item cannot  be upgraded.

Pet Supplies
Your pets are treated in a similar fashion to your character. They can get poisoned and injured, and can even die if you don't take care of them. However, like your character, you can heal them at the Healer's Den or by using healing items. They will be affected be healing abilities, but not buff abilities.

Seahorse Egg
Description: An egg that will hatch a seahorse 3 days after it is purchased. Can be obtained from the Beta Tester Pack.
Cost: 600 Gems
3 days to hatch
Special Abilities - Your seahorse has the ability to swivel around the enemy's head at high speeds and distract them, giving you a chance to land a finishing hit.
Your seahorse also has the eye of an eagle - they can find objects hidden in the sand, and having one will increase your luck for finding trinkets on quests, and increase your chance of finding rare treasures at Crayfish Cove.

Anglerfish Egg
Description: An egg that will hatch an anglerfish 4 days after it is purchased. Can be obtained from the Beta Tester Pack.
Cost: 800 Gems
4 days to hatch
Special Abilities - Your anglerfish can chomp on enemies during battle, leaving them with some serious scars. Their teeth are amazingly sharp, allow them to chew through restraints like vines or nets.
Your anglerfish can also use the lantern protruding from its head as a light in dark areas. This makes finding objects a lot easier.

Jellyfish Egg
Description: An egg that will hatch a jellyfish 4 days after it is purchased. Can be obtained from the Beta Tester Pack.
Cost: 900 Gems
4 days to hatch
Special Abilities - Your jellyfish can use its electricity to shock and stun enemies, or to shock unconscious allies back to reality.
Your jellyfish can also use its tentacles to strum a lovely tune that can instantly calm small creatures. This also has a chance to distract enemies, especially phantoms, giving you a chance to land a hit.

Item Identifcation

If you own an item that doesn't have a usage specified in the Item Index, you can pay a fee of 100 gems to reveal it's usage, which will then be logged in the Item Index for future reference. Item identification cannot be used on quest items or items that simply do not have a defined usage.

Sell Your Items

Another way of getting gems is to sell the items you currently have. They may not go for a lot of gems, but if you dig at Crayfish Cove a lot and sell everything you get, you could get a lot of gems.
