More Updates

Update #1

The Spellbook Menu has been made. Any characters who are mystics or who have a spellbook can have up to 4 spells. More is explained in a document posted in the Mystic section of the joining page.

Update #2

The inventory will be getting updated. The characters page is kind of cluttered and that makes it difficult to actually view what items are in your inventory, so the inventory will now be split into 3 "pockets" - your standard inventory, armory, and quest items. The basic inventory will get a capacity downgrade to 30 items to balance things out.
Armory is for all your weapons, armor, and tools, quest items are for all items you receive that are required for quests (they cannot be lost, sold, traded, or broken, but some of them can be crafted (only into other quest items)), and your standard inventory is for every other item. Below is a very standard example of what it would look like.

Example
Level 1
0/30 XP until next level
Gender: Example
Roleplayer: Example
Species: Example
Rank: Example
Squad: Example
Personality: Example
Abilities: Example
Gem Balance: 300

Inventory (7/30): Item 1, Item 2, Item 3 (x2), Item 4, Item 5, Item 6
Armory (4/10): Armour 1, Weapon 1, Weapon 2, Tool 1
Quest Items: Item 1, Item 2

Pets
This animal doesn't own any pets.

Because I am naturally lazy, the inventory changes will come gradually.

  1. I just got an idea for more spells for mystics, maybe this can increase the variety of spells in the menu.

Leviathus: levitates an object. Fails if it is used on a person.

Lumos (If you read harry potter, you'll get this one): lights up the tip of the staff/wand for a short duration of time.

Blokus: blocks any attack, though it only works for one turn.

    1. You knew I was going to ask for suggestions. Thanks, I'll probably add some of these.

  2. Whoop, more spell ideas coming your way!

Duplicato: duplicates any object or person. If accidentally fired at an enemy, the enemy will be duplicated too. GG.

Tempus premotati: allows the user to redo the turn just before the turn in which this spell was used.

Celeritas Taasan: To be casted at an ally. This will sharply raise the speed/agility of the target.

  3. More ideas:

Oscuro: casts a smoke bomb that causes the opponent to lose track of the allies.

Uzumaku blast: this is an area-of-effect spell that damages all enemies within the blast radius.

Malasuro: A buff with negative repercussions. It raises attack of the target for 3 turns, but causes the speed/agility to be lowered during those 3 turns.

    1. I probably won't add Oscuro because that would simply undermine the effects of the Smoke Bomb, an item in the Scrapper starter pack. I probably will add the other two though.

  4. I just hope that these specific magic abilities won't turn into an ability-spam free-for-all. These abilities definetely have the potential to turn this into a boring ability spam contest.

    1. The mystic class in particular is made to be heavily reliant on their spells and abilities, but I designed it to have a high skill cap, as just using the spells willynilly without any rhyme or reason will result in you being entirely helpless when all your spells are on cooldown. Later on in the story, there will be enemies that will actually be a challenge to go up against and you will have a high chance of dying if you aren't using your utilities correctly. I'll also be adding more spells, like Malasuro, that will have negative repercussions for using them. So I don't think you'll have to worry about this making things too easy. Plus I can always use my almighty god powers to nerf the spellbook if it gets out of hand.

  5. Spell generator Dew here with more ideas for spells.

Hando strike: deals a huge amount of damage, but the user takes recoil.

Jikonfundus: Sharply raises attack and speed for 2 turns, but the target, youself included, gets confused.

Zeijatake: sharply raises attack and speed, but sharply lowers defense.

    1. Perhaps we shouldn't add spell abilities nobody can pronounce... Heh

    2. True, true XD. I got these names by mashing the translated versions of what the spell does.

E.g Zeijatake = Zeijakuna (japanese for vulnerable) + atake (filipino for attack)

Malasuro = malakas (filipino for strong) + suro (japanese for slow)

    3. That sounds like a quitter's attitude.

    4. Uh...cerise, is the comments getting buggy again? My previous comment here is not shown, and also for the suggestions post.

  6. Got another idea for a spell.

Ponovo Suru: this spell is guaranteed to one hit knock out the target, but the user cannot move for the next 1 or 2 turns.

  7. And I've got a couple more ideas for utility spells.

Shokan: a summoning spell that allows the user to summon any object within the vicinity. However, if an opponent is holding onto said object, it is possible for the opponent to hang on until the effects of the spell wear off.

Clario: this spell improves vision and clears any murky stuff that makes it difficult to see.

    1. Got a couple more ideas.

Nullify: for 2-4 turns (the number can be changed), a random ability of the target is suppressed. If this nullifies an ability that was activated (like turn the tide), this nullifies the effects too.

Psycho-kinesis: this spell allows the user to forsee what the target's next move is.

    2. Cerise, should I continue to come up with ideas, or naw?

    3. Of course. I read them, I just don't always have the time to reply to them.

    4. K then. I'll keep churning them out then.
