Whirlpearl Clam

Hidden in the deep lies the Whirlpearl Clam. They say that the spirit of a mighty captain of the Bottlenose Brigade guards the clam and that he will chase away those who steal from it, but that's all just a folktale, right? I mean, there couldn't possibly be a spirit hiding down here, could there?

      You approach the clam, looking around wildly to make sure that you're alone. You hastily grab a whirlpearl and swim away, a little more skittish today than usual. You duck behind some rocks and examine the whirlpearl carefully, only to see that it's lost its glow and doesn't even seem to work anymore. You stuff it back into your satchel and swim back to camp, mildly disappointed.
